Ms Pafford was born and raised in Illinois and began teaching piano in high school. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education with a piano concentration and minors in voice and organ and a Master of Church Music with an emphasis in child development. Although she was certified to teach K-12 music after college, Mrs. Pafford used her training to have a private piano studio and teach children's choirs while being a stay-at-home mom. In addition to teaching piano with the Academy, Mrs. Pafford also teaches class piano at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and is a free-lance pianist/organist in the Jacksonville area. She and her husband enjoy being active in the Deermeadows Music Ministry.
