Deermeadows Choir Join the choir to be moved by beautiful choral music presented to God in worship each week. It’s always a great time to come, and no auditions are necessary – just the ability to match pitch along with a commitment to active participation. Have an enjoyable experience singing music of many different styles as the choir prepares for worship and special events such as Holy Week & Easter, and “Carols by Candlelight”, our annual Christmas concert celebration. Rehearsals take place each Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary and Music Suite. Deermeadows Orchestra Participation in the orchestra is open to experienced instrumentalists. Rehearsals are each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The orchestra enjoys music and fellowship among its participants as preparations are made for weekly leadership in worship and seasonal events. Contact the Deermeadows Music Office if you are interested in participating in the orchestra.Student Choir This school year ministry for grades 7-12 features Sunday evening rehearsals in music and drama. Student Choir helps teenagers broaden their understanding of God and connect with him on a deeper level through music. This choir has fun in rehearsal and leads in worship, special events, and trips. The choir rehearses in the Music Suite on Sundays at 5 p.m. No audition is required. Read more about Student Choir here. View the Student Choir Festival brochure here. High school students (grades 9-12) are also encouraged to
rehearse with the larger Deermeadows Choir (adults 18+) on
Wednesday nights each fall for the annual, major Christmas
concert, "Carols by Candlelight."
Preschool & Children’s Choirs Every child who attends preschool and children’s choirs at Deermeadows is guided through musical, spiritual and physical experiences that develop them into joyful musicians and worshipers of our loving God. Beginning at age 3 and continuing through grade 6, children experience worship and Biblical truths through singing, movement, learning, instruments and rhythm. An optional Hymn Memorization Program offers children the oppotunity to learn and progress through great hymns of the Christian faith. Preschool & Children’s Choirs meet each Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a combined effort of music and missions education. Choice Voices Senior Adult Choir Active adults gather on Tuesday mornings to rehearse and present music in various senior communities, as well as to lead in worship. By sharing music and a weekly lunch, this choir enjoys super fellowship and fun times.Additional Worship & Media Ministry Opportunities
