Our Preschool and Children’s Ministry ministers to children ages birth through 5th grade. Our purpose is to provide biblically-based, age appropriate education to preschool and elementary children. We are dedicated to partnering with parents in Jacksonville in laying spiritual foundations, helping children understand what it means to have a personal relationship Christ, accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior, and grow in their faith.

Meet our ministry staff

Shannon Radosevich
With over 18 years of experience in children’s ministry, Shannon is passionate about helping kids grow in their understanding of God and develop a personal, lifelong relationship with Him. Prior to serving in ministry, she worked as an elementary school teacher. Shannon holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Christian Education, with a focus on children’s ministry. She is married and a proud mom of three children. Shannon loves the beach, reading, and spending time with her family.
Cheryl O'Connor
Cheryl has been a member at Deermeadows since 2008 and a ministry assistant since 2021. After many years in the fashion industry, she is so thankful that she now gets to work with kids, which is her passion. The relationships that she is able to build and the opportunity to watch the children grow in their personal relationship with Jesus makes it hard for Cheryl to consider this to be a job.

Additional Information
Sunday Groups at 9:15am
Sunday Worship at 10:30am
Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm (Aug-May)
The safety and security of your child is our highest priority. When you check-in you will receive three security tags; one for your child to wear, a corresponding tag for you, and a tag to give to the teacher for record keeping. You will need to give your tag to your child's leaders before they will be released to you. All preschool and children’s volunteers are carefully trained and background checked before serving. Children who show signs of fever, vomiting, or other contagious illnesses should be symptom and fever free for 24 hours before attending.
At times, kids are given a small snack and water during each hour with us. If you have special dietary requirements or restrictions, please alert us upon check-in. Feel free to send an appropriate snack for your child.
If you come on campus during the week, you might see preschoolers from around Jacksonville learning and growing in the Deermeadows Weekday Preschool. Click here to learn more about the program for babies through VPK. (September through May)
